Red Hot Chili Peppers: Hollywood (Africa)

A few weeks ago I was watching a documentary by the legendary Don Letts entitled Tales of Dr. Funkenstein; all about George Clinton and the P-Funk movement.

In itself it was a fascinating film about a music that I love (both Maggot Brain and Uncle Jam Wants You rarely get put back on the shelves, they're played that often) but in amongst all the fantastic interviews and concert shots was this little gem...

Red Hot Chili Peppers started out as a straight P-Funk covers band, and Dr Funkenstein himself produced and appeared on their second album, Freaky Styley

I really didn't know that.  And of course, YouTube could tell me all about it.

Here then, for your delectation, are the Red Hot Chili Peppers and George Clinton, doing Hollywood.  And yes, it is on the one.
